Smart Dual at Workplace and Homecare

It is not uncommon that many elderly carers are middle-aged or elderly. They are eager to maintain paid work to support part of their care and daily expenses and maintain a normal social life so as to reduce the financial and emotional problems caused by the pressure to care for elderly or sick elderly people at home. However, some employers have doubts about the ability and efficiency of carers while the carers themselves lack the skill of elderly care.

Therefore, the Association is preparing ‘Competent Dual Handling of Career and Provision of Homecare for Elderly Promotion Plan’, hoping that the carers will receive support from the society and have a better understanding of elderly care. The programme, to commence in the first quarter of 2022, will include self-assessment online games for carers, Certificate Course on Competent Dual Handling of Career and Provision of Homecare for Elderly, public education talks and visits, and counselling services for employers and carers
